Several weeks ago, we nervously waited for the DOT inspector to arrive and determine if we qualified to be a licensed auto dealer. (Yes, even Heath was nervous, which rarely happens!) 

In the months leading up to this critical moment, we sought your diligent prayers to propel us through stringent DOT requirements, including procurement of a zoned, permitted 12×20 space accessible by vehicle (donated by The Storage Guys), a written service agreement (provided by the Christian Brothers), a sellers permit, salesperson licensure… the list goes on.

In moments of uncertainty and exhaustion where trusting the process didn’t come easily, an encouraging message, a donation, or a prayer would show up without fail, reminding us to hold onto hope. This has been the most beautiful part of the journey — seeing a community of people respond with generosity and goodness. 

When the DOT inspector arrived, we waited for the shoe to drop. And guess what? It never did. Instead, he told us how to consign vehicles, manage paperwork, and not get ripped off at auctions. He shook our hands at the end with a big smile and congratulated us on being a licensed auto dealer!
